Backstabber Poem by Holly Smith

Backstabber

Rating: 5.0

I just want to hate you,
I just want to scream,
or maybe i could just wake up,
and this could all be a dream.

I want this to be over,
why's it happening to me?
you're not who i thought you were,
you're not who i see.

Whenever i'm near you,
I can't help but think
Why did you do this?
You made my heart sink

Yet i cannot leave you,
Hate being on my own,
but the backstabbers showed me,
i'm truly alone.

You have a nice, crisp sense of rhythm which you have used well in this poem. Very enjoyable. Irene
