Bad Name Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Bad Name

Rating: 2.8

So far nothing had happened
Whether it was weak end
Or beginning of new month
I heaved a sigh of relief with breath

I was normal man
Very noble and human
Suddenly I was changed person
Alcohol was added for some reasons

I was bored with same living
Friends insisted me in believing something new
I was taken to bar
There we stayed long and far

Yes that devil like feeling emerged
I tried to control but was unable to manage
Daily I rushed to the bar and drunk heavily
Now this routine was fixed daily

Slowly it became known to all
I was talked about and received calls
Many enquired if that was correct story
I was forced to spell sorry

I realized one thing
It takes year to earn for something
Bad name is for asking
So much time is taken for earning good name

Let us do nothing that spoils image
You will be addicted and remain like bird in cage
You will be slave of habits
The good name may never suit you then
