Baggage Poem by Dorsey Baker

Baggage

Rating: 4.5

When the darkness
Comes calling
You had better
Know how to run
How to run
And find yourself
A place in the sun
The fire is burning
But you
Just cannot
See the flame
Because you are
Just a symbol
And you ain't
Really
Got no name

Spent all your money
Now you are broke
Can't even
But yourself
A can of coke

All I can tell you
Is what I know
You have got to let
Some of that
Baggage go

Great inspiring, poem. So inspiring I wrote poem in response to this one, called I Love Every Scar. I would have posted in the comments. But there is a character limit.
