It's all balanced
A plus for a minus
Invisible to mere eyes
But in the grand scale of things
The scale doesn't tip
A give and a take.
Me,
I have been giving
Parts of me; uneven parts
Some big, some small
And getting parts in return
Some small, others smaller.
I try to believe in the equation,
My part,
My contributions to equal it on both sides.
It's a meaningful sacrifice,
To compensate for a stranger's greed.
I want to believe.
But.
In the grandiose of the world,
A conglomerate of the positives and the negatives
To create an apparent harmony,
Surely, I could have been but a miniscule tolerable error,
Had I been let to have the amount I gave.
It makes me angry,
Why could I not be allowed
to also be balanced
in just my own unit too.
Life is all about give and take. If the equation is balanced, the relationship is robust. Insightful and philosophical write. Thanks & Welcome.
A good start with a nice poem, Sadhana. You may like to read my poem, Love And Iust. Thank you.
A well articulated piece of poetry written with clarity of thought and mind. Your insightful depiction of unfairness and absence of fair play is blatantly truthful and powerful in context. Thanks for sharing Sadhana and do remain enriched.
