Bang - Poem by Marc Krüger

We have a single go-
One shot to pick it right.
To play our cards, or throw-
One miss could lose the fight.

One shot is all we have;
At all things worth pursuit.
One shot to hit the mark;
Its win - or down the chute.

So each new miss thus brings
More thickness to the pall
You die to hear the echo ring:
That single shot to end it all.

    I really liked that poem, very concise, and therefore effective. The last 2 lines are particularly strong. (Report)Reply
