Banshi Baram Baba Poem by S.D. TIWARI

Banshi Baram Baba

'Hail Banshi Brahm Baba'
the prime deity of the vicinity.
His temple is in an Indian village,
‘Hansarajpur' in the state of U.P.

He is shaped like 'Shivalinga',
a carved cone instead of statue.
Thousands of people pray to Him,
to come their wishes true.

In the great temple of Baba,
people perform worships and hawans.
With blessings of their deity,
they get fulfilled their solicitations.

Ladies come to worship in groups,
singing bhajans and devotional songs.
Banshi Brahm Baba saves them,
from happening anything wrong.

Since childhood I've great faith
in my Lord ‘Banshi Brahm Baba'.
Before beginning new task, I say -
‘Jai ho Banshi Brahm Baba'

In my childhood, other Gods were,
far above to understand.
Only ‘Banshi Brahm Baba' was
near me and used to withstand.

Whenever, I had to appear,
in any of my examinations.
I prayed him to get me success,
in the excellent gradations.

Once a subject was hard to me
for that I had no preparation.
I was too much worried and
next day was, the examination.

Prayed ‘O Baram Baba! ' help me.
Luckily, the questions, those came.
The night I dreamt a question paper,
most of them were the same.

Many, who have faith, they pray
and at place of Baba, bit of ghee burn.
Are blessed by Baba Banshi Dhar Brahm,
and their wishes are fulfilled in return.
