A Romantic is always afraid deep inside
expectations will never come true

Chasing a mirage that stays beyond reach
waiting and hoping in lieu…

A Romantic betroths those lies of the heart
in amorous moments to roam

Wooing a dream that's jilted by sleep
to wander, to wonder—alone
