Baseball - Poem by Juan Olivarez

Baseball has alway ruled my heart,
And It has done so from the start.
To hear the umpire cry 'play ball',
A towering blast over the wall,
A double play to save the day,
Take me to the ballpark, come what may.

Its getting very close to spring training and then boom, the season is under way. Your poem somehow awaken the taste of baseball and spring, and peanuts and all the things of baseball. Great write and reminder. Thanks. Lynn (Report) Reply
