Battlefield Poem by Daya Nandan

The world we live in is our very own battlefield,
With persistence and courage being our protective shield,
Life is a war, every stage of life is a small battle we must fight,
It’s a never ending one that lasts through each day and night

Just like in any fight, You should always be prepared with your sharpened knife,
We must always be prepared to throw a finishing blow at all times in life,
Finish everything you attempt, leave no stones unturned,
Learn all you can in life, leave no lesson unlearned

Bury the mistakes that must be buried for the universe has a mind of its own.
Let the winds of improvement guide you, become better than you have ever known,
Keep your guard up, expect the worst to happen but be prepared to face it
Welcome life's challenges head on, Losers never win and winners never quit

Failing to plan is planning to fail, plan your work and work your plan,
Prepare yourself to succeed be the unbeaten and extraordinary man,
Plan on continuously, move forward and conquer all the obstacles around
Worry not about taking steps back, worry about how you will hold your ground.

Let not yourself be push backwards from the road of progress,
Strategize and fight it out with skill like a game of chess,
Keep accelerating forward towards your hopes and dreams
Be courageous and fearless and you will realize that life is better than it seems.
