Be A Candle Poem by Paul Sebastian

Be A Candle

BE A CANDLE
By Paul Sebastian

Darkness pervades all around
The blind, lost, finding ground
A lit candle cursed darkness
A heart's candle of kindness

It ignites a fire in one's life
Who is lost in life's strive
Lost in worldly-candle's way
Blinded by the darkness sway

Be a candle to light another
Light doused wick to flicker
Hold it high for the lost to see
To lead and set some souls free

Short candle-life, soon melts away
Withstanding against winds' play
Keep it aflame, through life's sways
Pass it on, before life passes away
