Be Gentle Poem by Linda Hill

Be Gentle

Rating: 5.0

Be Gentle
I've known nothing but abuse
And horrors in my life
Beatings and bruises
Fear and strife.
She always hurt me
Throwing me against the wall
Tellling the neighbours that
I'd just had a fall.

Be Gentle...
Treat me with loving care
Rock me to sleep
I've never had a Mommy
That I could keep.
Foster Home to Foster Home
Someone hold me
There's scars deep inside
That no one can see.

Be Gentle...
Don't ever hurt me for
Thats all I've known
The Mommy who hurt me
I'm glad she's gone.
Touch me with care
Don't leave me too
You've broke down my walls
Mommy, I love you.

Be Gentle....
