Be My Valentine Poem by Gulliver Gimble

Be My Valentine

Rating: 5.0

Your eyes show no wear of hopeless shame.
No gathering of worthless animosity.
Wavering thoughts for better days.
A face that looks down upon my own thoughts.
Wanting to lift me higher when Im blue.
A heart as strong as it always seems to be.
Your deepest words are almost always silent.
Listening to my own words and letting it be said.
A forgiving soul when one is needed the most.
Understanding as best as you can.
Because you've seen it all before many times.
Your tears seldom fall within my own sight.
A woman should never love a man who makes her cry.
The one who does is not worthy of her company.
But when they do fall, I try to be there for you.
You have wondered with me on many paths.
Some have taken us to better shores.
Many have taken us back to the starting line.
Two steps back to make one step forward.
But, you have always been by my side.
Pushing me when it seemed I could not walk another step.
For this I am grateful.
Be My Valentine.; -)
