Be Not Stuck On Holy Writ

or words to memorize and idolize?

What serves you best,
study and memorize
quote it perfectly?
or internalize a drop or two
live it well, outside your Zoo
Free yourself when living truth
let go of fight, seek delight!
Bliss will be missed
if you are pissed
Drop the study, all the anger,
allow the customs of the stranger
Let yourself seek blissful pleasure
a new life lived beyond all measure!
Amen. Words to live by. Holy Writ can be useful as a guide, but we must think for ourselves. Everything changes, and so must our thinking and decision making. The worst thing we can do is close our minds and refuse to at least consider change.
