If you are a mere drop of water
On a healthy lotus leaf, all by yourself
You’ll shine, and the shine is thine
What good of being lost in mighty ocean?
You being a breeze, cooling and soothing
Gust over, brushing woodland canopies
Enjoy seeing the bush performers
Why dissipate thyself, striving rock boulders!
As a kindle, waiting to glow up
In gross darkness, you’ll blow up
Engulfed in sun shine, un-noticed
Never ever will you be solaced!
Being a scent meant to appease and touch
Caste yourself over stinking abodes
Would you be cared, even if you desire?
In a garden, amongst blooming roses
I find it so interesting to translate into my language, the greek. It talks, it seems to me, about an authentic life, living, something I myself tried to show in my poem ''My own walls'', to show we are desviated from the real target we should have in life.Isn't it what the lovely poem here says?
Don't worry about other, brighten the corner where you are. There's nothing better than being one's self.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
By all means Dimirios, please translate it to Greek. I wish I could read Greek too. Same time, I guess you attempted in your poem My own walls, to speak more analytically the same thing, we both have in mind. If we all can see our own inner-self, we need not be scared of any aliens. Thank you Dimitrios for your loving words.
