Beach Bonfire Darkness Eating: Until New Day Sunrise Dawns Poem by Terence George Craddock

Beach Bonfire Darkness Eating: Until New Day Sunrise Dawns

the sea washes
across depth memories
evoking distant

forgotten nights
on beach seashores
on black star filled nights

magical with bonfire blazing
stars skyward leaping flying
up in whirling sparks dancing

up into darkness sky void embracing
night time ink darkness slow creeping
as bonfire wood burnt settles shifts burning

back as fire burns down darkness
slowly creeps back in until hours
later red embers still glowing fierce red hot

fail heat shimmering ash space glowing
slow time shrinking back into an enclosed circle
soon beach eating waves high tide rumble roars

night star sky soft warm summer night breeze
as time enfolds in timeless limitless moments
stretching into now now soft time creeping towards

dawn dawning
slow creeping
time approaching

new day sunrise born
