Beaches Poem by Phil Soar

Beaches

Beaches strewn with pebbles
With no sight of any sand
Unless you dig the stones away
And cup it in your hand
And then the tide comes home again
And covers it with more
We wonder why the stones exist
To hide the sandy shore
