Beautiful Islands In An Ocean Of Humanity Poem by Terence George Craddock

Beautiful Islands In An Ocean Of Humanity

In the poem 'No Man Is An Island'
written by the poet John Donne we find,
Donne claiming we are not separate
islands isolated alone by ourselves,
cut off from land by deep waters sea
no we are all a piece of the continent,
John Donne is pleading a defense case
all humans are an important integral;

part of a collective whole humanity
all have value all are equal unique vital
'Any man's death diminishes me, ' thus
the loss of a single life diminishes us all
society would solve many problems,
if we valued all lives, esteemed all life;

on this planet,
the destiny survival
of all life on earth,
will come if when,
we realize all life
is ecosystem important.
