Beauty Poem by Anonymous Still

Beauty

Rating: 5.0

If i was ever asked what's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen
I would say a leaf
Falling through the quilt of fog
In a motion so slow
Against the raging wind
like a magic happening
like the leaf holding hands of time
And asking it to be calm
 enjoying that fall
like a kid tumbling and jumping on ground
The moment where all the realities freezed
And all the fantasies came into life
Like angels rejected to stay in heavens
And bow their heads to their chief
The falling leaf
But the irony was
The leaf wasn't even any shades of life
But brown
Screaming the arrival of end and beginnings
Yet how brown and white created
A musing so profound
A scene so serene
A reality so unreal
And falling look so peaceful
That all the colors decided not to intervene
Isn't it amusing how often beauty is related to vibrance
Yet I have seen
Lifeless colorless leaf scintillating
Forever in my mind..

A beautifully crafted poem. I can see the leaf falling in slow motion. I love the imagery you painted. Leaves fascinate me too. I have written haikus on leaves and trees before.10 Nudershada
