Notso in this world seems a robust fact,
Wrapped in layers things look like an onion,
Beauty, some say, is but an opinion,
Or else it might have been far more perfect.
Some go for the amour that eyes emit,
Deeply berthed in beholder's holding eyes,
And singing one's own strains of lies it lies,
I'd rather to love's heart give due credit.
As man is made of opinions of his,
This too might still be a mere opinion,
Well hidden in layers of an onion,
Yet, each layer no less an onion is.
Let that be, I'd not go into all this,
Your beauty, dear, to me is so much bliss.

This too might still be a mere opinion, Well hidden in layers of an onion, IN THE WEST THEY SELL ONLY ONION RINGS NOW I HEAR in the East onions only tears bring prices soar about the aeroflights never mind I love reading your poetry it does bring in free onions and joyous tears When I read some of your poems I love onoin tears for free when Sir I devour onionic poetry
And often on reading your feedback it feels well its worth to have penned a piece (shall we call once in a million?) . The truth is: it is so nice interacting with some like you so young, and some a bit highly strung.
Your concluding lines made me smile- you have such a knack with closing lines! ! ! They have a habit of seasoning a poem with a touch of humor! 10+
Thank you dear poet, but what else poor hubby can say? It is somewhat like when one has to say some good words... And genuinely there is at least something good in any poor work... work of art, poetry, whatever... ...'seasoning a poem'... a nice way of putting it.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Beauty is indeed an opinion and it varies from person to person! What is beautiful in one's eye may not be beautiful to another! However, every woman in her heart of hearts is eager to know what grading she would get for her beauty from her loved one. Your concluding remark will definitely please your dear one.....! A great poem!
I am happy that you liked this sonnet...'a great poem' form a great poet, thanks indeed.
