Beauty Is The Reason We Live For Poem by Arun Maji

Beauty is not something
You see through your eyes.
It's something you feel
Through your heart and soul
When your eyes are closed.

Beauty is not earthly
Palpable thing.
Rather, a divine impalpable thing.
Impalpable, yet very much palpable.
It makes you dream
The sweetest dream,
Makes you smell
The sweetest smell,
Makes you do
The most beautiful deed.

I have seen beauty in darkness
In silence
In absence
In hope
In despair
In joy
In grief.

Beauty is there
Everywhere
Every moment
Whispering to us
Singing to us
Dancing to us.

Yet we often are too blind
Too deaf.
We do not see or hear
That is so obvious.

Human must train himself
Day and night
Again and again
To appreciate beauty.

Because
Beauty is the driving force
That makes us live.

Tell me, why else I live?
Why else you do?
