Because I said so, that's why
Reasons? Those I don't supply
I am your subconscious, what I say goes
And if I were to say stand on your nose

You'd do it of course, without hesitation
I order, you obey, there's no contestation
Snap my fingers, you jump right up to attention
'Cos you really hate having to spend time on detention

I am your subconscious, I'm always present
And to be honest, I'm not always pleasant
Try to control me, go on, have a go
Is that your best shot, come on, you're way too slow
