Because My Heart Is Broken Poem by Arun Maji

My heart is broken, again and again.
And that is why I must heal
Broken hearts of others.
I have seen shadowed eyes of heartache,
Pale face of broken heart,
Caged song of sorrowful soul.

I have heard my broken heart
Crying alone
Day and night, in corner of a room.
Alone. All alone.
I have seen him
Achy and awake, night after night.
I have heard him
Talking to his self, incoherent talk.

Perhaps,
None sings song of a broken heart
Better, than I do.
I would sing that song to those
Who are so heartbroken,
They can't feel themselves anymore.

O friends, if a broken heart
Does not care another broken heart
Who else would?
