Because Of Sex Poem by Randy McClave

Because Of Sex

If it wasn't because of sex
I wouldn't have an ex,
I wouldn't be paying alimony
And eating cheese and all that baloney.
My life wouldn't be so complex
If it wasn't because of sex,
Nor would I always be in court
Because of morechild support.
If it wasn't because of sex
I wouldn't treat woman as objects,
I would listen to every word they said
Instead of subliminally hearing, "take them to bed".
If it wasn't because of sex
It would be easier for me sending a text,
I wouldn't feel so stressed
Wanting a pic of her breast.
If it wasn't because of sex
Emotions wouldn't be so confusing and perplex,
I would know what to say and do
I would spiritually mean it when I said, "I love you"
If it wasn't because of sex
Gone would be that sexual hex,
Other priorities would become my must
Because gone, would be that desire and lust.
