Because Of You Poem by Randy McClave

Because Of You

If I don't ever trust again,
It will be because of you,
And if I stay angry more than I want,
That too, will be because of you.
If I don't hold onto hope or compassion,
That will, be because of you.
And if it seems that I am full of hate,
It will be because of you.
And also it is because of you,
That you cheat and that you lie.
And it is also because of yourself,
That you, or no one has faith in your life.
It is because of you,
That you have no loyalty or a soul.
And if you think it will be because of you,
That when you grow old, you will grow old alone.
And it is because of you,
There’s a debt that I owe to GOD and Man.
But then it is because of myself.
That debt, I did not try to understand.
And it is because of you,
What you did and the life that you live.
But then it is because of myself,
That I don't forget, and then you I forgive.
