Lord let me not be selfish,
inside this heart of mine;
But rather let my heart,
show your love so kind.
Lord let me be helpful,
to others I see in need;
Let this live that I live,
be free from greed.
And as I close this poem,
father hear these words I say;
Always let the love inside my heart,
shine for you today.
Father please hear these words I speak,
and let them ring out true;
Father let this love of mine,
Always come from you.
Because thy love is true!
