Before He Died Poem by Bryan Taplits

Before He Died

The Revolving World re-circled
From within its dizzy theme,
And all on Earth knew the search
Was of each person's comraderie being.
Thus, none on Earth was conscious
Of the Galaxy's envisioned plan,
So all thought that the revolving taught
That the planet revolved around him.
Lamentably, at last on the deathbed-
Gazing on his cosmic eclipse-
Before shuttered eyes
He re-grasped all past misapprehensions-
Just before he wheezed and he died.
