Your job
it might be
a dangerous one
have to fight
pollution
with the barrel of a gun
you might wreck your health
and no matter how much money
you got
you cannot buy a cure
but you can be assured of one thing
you aint going to go
before its time to go
in a moment of fear
you might do something
you'll later regret
but you can still
ask forgiveness
if you haven't yet
you have got the cards in your hand
and you are the dealer
but you can be assured of one thing
you aint going to go
before its time to go
you might be on death row
as they make the hangman's knot
you might fall out of a tree
or you might sink into the sea
you might be praying a prayer
or singing a song
when the trumpet starts to blow
but you aint going to go
before its time to go!
