Before The Dawn Poem by Cory Jensen

Before The Dawn

Just before the dawn;
My breathing will be shallow.
Everything within me
Has already faded to black.
The rising rays of the Sun;
No longer brings light to my eyes.
Before the dawn;
All the pain will be over.
The Moon sinks down,
My beautiful hourglass of life.
The silver glow slowly dips;
Leaving my soul in the dark.
Just before the dawn;
Everything will be alright.
