i often wonder what others see
when standing face to face with me
the constant joker, playing the clown
always laughing never a frown
but in the mirror i see whats true
a different story not to be seen by u
theres many words i keep unspoken
a heavy heart that has been broken
the clown the joker its just a face
to fill the empty silent space
that once was filled by a special light
sadly extinguished and out of sight
i will not give in and i wont fall apart
i'll carry on dad with u locked in my heart
in the tears that have fallen im sure i could drown
but its all kept behind the face of a clown
I enjoyed this poem very much and all other poems written by Megan Watts. I would like to know who is this young person and what age group because every poem is written with sadness. The chosen words are very well written which give an image of suffering and love. Megan, you have a writing talent and should continue writing. I hope that someday you will publish your poetry.
