Behind The Curtain Of Falling Waters Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Behind The Curtain Of Falling Waters

I shall offer no solace
Nor pretence for solution
When a generation choses delusion
In disgrace, rather find they face

Rasping through the rapids
Rain pouring down
Man losing his crown
In his foolishness, intrepid

Daughters, sons
They who are brave must be warned
For the pure are to death, publicly stoned
The immorals, the demons

Illusion, delusion
Academia, the iridescent comfort
That fooled us into this discomfort
Destruction, our end, perdition
