Behind The Wind Wall Poem by fraidoon warasta

Behind The Wind Wall

eventually, descended whirled landed settled
on the denuded still trees
on the shivering ground
on the roofs
rare as a white lion
its rapturous moments
beyond measure
children's joy surpassed
seven directions
cheerfulness of crows, magpies and dogs immense
my cat stays indoors

missing carrots from the fridges
children borrowed even more from clouds
for raising a huge snowwoman

for a poet, exhibits
the footprints of the muse
silver blanketing the meadows
this pearl bright ushering this mutation
this first snow of the season
i join the prayer hands of pine, peach and plum trees
for the second, maybe fourth or who knows many many rounds

at the same time, covid won't hold its breath
its lassos loos
feeding the fattening unemployment
breeding depression
also creating more free times

but, such crises with all their frailty and force
will perpetually come and go
no reason to ignore this pearl casting festivity
before the silk white patches disappear
behind the wind wall
i nod!
thanks!
