Behold The Lamb Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Behold The Lamb

Handel's music quietly echoed

Across the hills and the leas

In the month of May -

Two thousand and one

At the wake of a chilling disease.

Prayers were sent to the heavens

As country folk held back the tears

And how we remember

May to December ~ in that

Unforgettable year of years.
