Being An Original Poem by Randy McClave

Being An Original

Rating: 4.0

No matter how others think of you
God made you the way that you are,
So, to yourself always be true
Then in life you will certainly go far.
Do not ever change for others
You were created the way you were for a reason,
Become not your sisters nor your brothers
To yourself, do not ever commit treason.
Always remember to look into your mirror
Then tell yourself what you see,
When it comes to your life, you are the only seer
Always be yourself, and never be them, or me.
Never change your idea for anyone
You and your living and beliefs are the stakes,
Your life should never be a lie or a con
Always know, that God never made mistakes.
Read the books that are on your bookshelf
And be yourself either neat or sloppy,
But, always be only yourself
Remember an original, is always better than a copy.
