Being By Myself Poem by Audrey Heller

There are times, I like to be by myself
and not do much, of anything! I'll put on
the radio, listen to a song and knowing
the words, I'll go along, with it and sing!
Who cares, what it sounds like? There's
no one there, to criticize my voice! I'm
just having a grand old time and this is,
my choice! Here I am, doing what I want,
with no one, telling me what to do. It's
just being by myself that's so great, at
least for, an hour or two! I can do whatever
it is, I like, with not giving a care. This is,
something you cannot do, when there's
somebody else, who's there! If you want a
little freedom, take some time to be alone.
Doing whatever pleases you most, before
your family, starts to come home!
