Beneath the shelter of the tree of life,
I stand,
The divine breath filling my lungs.
Its roots dig deep into the timeless,
Its branches rising beyond the sky's highness.
I ask, "Where does the Spirit dwell? "
The tree of life hums a whisper in reply:
In the silence between your sleeping and waking
In the silence between your two breaths
In the silence between your thoughts
In the silence between night and dawn
In the silence between day and dusk
In the silence between two heartbeats
In the silence when you were unborn—
in your mother's cradle
Here, I find my place—in silence
The Tree of Life has its roots deep down
in the vast fathomless ocean of unity
Yet whole, yet infinite,
Held in the Spirit's gentle hand but in tight grip.
