Bernadette Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Bernadette

Waves of moonlight flow
She is the giving sea
I am the land of loneliness
She walks the whispering shore
She prays by the silent dawn

We connect like tropic waters

Parrots along the river
Vines with mystic leaves
Ancient waves of wholeness
Ripe fruit sings in the wind
Your fire glows in forest roses

Dreams sigh with golden flesh

Your words bring the tide
Ancient shells of Aphrodite
Women as strong as stars
Necklace of regal desire
Your wet beasts haunt me

Bernadette glows in the moonlight
