Betrayal Of Trust Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Betrayal Of Trust

Rating: 5.0

Rain God is turning hostile
Heavy to moderate rain meanwhile
Harvest is washed away or spoiled
The belly for poor remains unfilled

The seasons too playing cruel
Nothing goes well
The prices are sky rocketing
It is difficult to go for marketing

I think about miserable path
The poor have to take sun bath
Severe and pinching under heat
How can they cope with and meet?

The weather remains unpredictable
Adding woes and troubles
May be we have added more sins?
Such behavior on human being was never seen

Deforestation is on large scale
The sea is depleted with whale
Trees are cut and fertile land is now unproductive
How long shall we remain unconcerned and selective?

We shall suffer
In days and years after
Future generation shall not forgive us
For their future and betrayal of trust
