Between The Lines - Poem by Amalei Masigla

The laughter that covers the deep longing inside
the longing that penetrates the deepest part of the beating heart
Never would I want to be with you
for being with you will make the heart long for more
Will this bring pain soon as we realize we could never be
or will it ever make the sun shine more above us
This brings a new light in the darkness
a way of being alive again
a way of smiling again as I wake up in the morning
someone that I wanna dream of as I lay myself to sleep
the voice I never heard
the person I never saw
but is in my heart
