Between us
There is so much left unsaid
I spoke too much you spoke too less
And when it all fell apart, you blamed me
For all the hurt, all the mess.
Between us
There stands a wall
The wall I tried to break and you kept rebuilding
And when it became too strong too tall,
You stood aside while I tried to make it fall.
Between us
There is love and there is hate
The love I felt for you and
The hatred you always showed me
And then conveniently tell me that its not your fault its fate.
Between us
It can never be right
I want a life time
And you have a few minutes each night
Between us
Something always will remain
It might not be the same
But its there between us
