Beware Of Druthers Poem by moon batchelder

Beware Of Druthers

Rating: 5.0

inconsequential
one supposes
preference is to hold
til captive to the throes of lust
what time mere want grows bold.

torrential
and incessant urges
start with this 'prefer'
which left untethered overwhelms
til all else must defer

The rhymes in here are so tight. Yet it reads like an all inclusive proverb of yore.
