Beyond Shadows - Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Time spaces itself between moments of our lives,
stretching our times on earth to encompass our
past, present and future.
We are always standing on doorsteps ready to
take a step in time - forward.
Tranquilly we progress in our own times and
spaces.
Allowing moments of thought to stretch their arms
around us when we need them the most in silent
sorrow.
Grief touching us gently - so gently - that our
hearts are ripped apart before we even notice it's
happened.
Returning time and again to these heart-breaking
moments somehow gives us solace as we cry silently
to ourselves in moments of saddened darkness.
Places of emotion darkening our doorways as we
contemplate our existences beyond their shadows.
