on this day in eightyfour
Bhopal just went mute
by death at everyone's door
with an MIC downpour

that night thousands died
as toxic gas - from a Plant
to make pesticides-
like an uncontrolled giant
released, when safety was scant

the after effects:
dead or maimed were.thousands more
kids born.with defects
accident is part of.lore
the world's worst that people.bore

cause was negligence
time to time plant showed symptoms
of much decadence
but nothing was done to stem
the rot, which to roost.came home

victims got pittance
to compensate their.losses;
justice took a stance
to turn its back to the masses
and.favored criminal bosses
