Bird Of Silver In An Azure Sky Poem by Mark Money

Bird Of Silver In An Azure Sky

load the car. let's not be late.
i said i'd take you to the gate.
you have to leave. you just can't wait.
load the car. let's not be late.

i said i'd take you to the jet
is there a need to argue yet?
your ticket's bought. the flight is set.
i said i'd take you to the jet.

is there a need to argue more?
just let me show you to the door
and when did love become a chore?
is there a need to argue more?

just let me show you to the plane
bird of silver in an azure rain
and this can be your exit lane
just let me show you to the plane.

bird of silver in an azure sky
i'm gonna miss you by and by.
you said you'd leave. you had to fly
bird of silver in an azure sky.
