Birds Waiting Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Birds Waiting

Bird feeder in the backyard
Is empty in the morning
Two sparrows and a blackbird
Wait for grains to be filled.

Master's aware of his duty
Duly fills the container
One after one birds
Of a variety of feather arrive.

Black birds with red wings
Blue jays hovering
Red headed cardinals
Add color to surroundings.

Scarcity of natural food
Demands some attention
To extend some help
To our feathered friends in need.
