ବିଶ୍ଵ ପଖାଳ ଦିବସ (The World Water-Rice Day)
ତା: ୨୦.୩.୨୦୨୧ ଶନିବାର
ଆଜିତ ପଖାଳ ଦିବସ ମନେ ଆଣେ ହରଷ
ପଖାଳ ଖାଇବା ପାଇଁକି ମନେ କେଡ଼େ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ ।୧।
ସାଦା ପଖାଳଠୁ ବଳି କି ମଜା ଦହି ପଖାଳ
କଦଳୀ ଭଜାକୁ ଶାଗ ଖରଡା ଦିଅ ସହଳ ।୨।
ବାଇଗଣ ଭର୍ତା ବଡ଼ି ମିଶ୍ରିତ ଲାଗଇ ମଜା
ନାତି ନାତୁଣୀଙ୍କୁ ଗେହ୍ଲେଇ କହୁଥାଆନ୍ତି ଅଜା।୩।
ଖୁସି ମନେ ଚାଲେ ପଖାଳ ଖିଆ ତୋରାଣି ପିଆ
ସାଥୀ ହୋଇ ଥୋକେ ଖାଆନ୍ତି ଲାଗେ କେଡ଼େ ବଢିଆ ।୪।
ସ୍ନାନ ସାରି ଯେବେ ଭାଉଜ ଓ ନଣନ୍ଦ ଆସନ୍ତି
ପଖାଳ କଂସା କୁ ସାଥୀରେ ରଖି ଗେଲେ ଖାଆନ୍ତି ।୫।
ଆମ୍ବର ଚଟଣି ଅଥବା ପତଞ୍ଜଳି ଆଚାର
ଭେଣ୍ଡି ଝୁଣଗ ବା କଲରା ଭଜା କେଡ଼େ ସୁନ୍ଦର ।, ୬।
ଟମାଟୋ କାକୁଡି ସାଲାଡ୍ କୁ ପୋଟଳର କୁରୁମା
ଧନିଆ, ପୋଦିନା ପତ୍ରର ସ୍ଵାଦ ନାହିଁ ଉପମା ।୭।
ଯେତେ ଭଜା ସେତେ ଆଣଇ ମଜା ପଖାଳ ସାଥେ
ମୁଗ ବିରି ଡାଲିର ସ୍ଵାଦ ବଳେ ମାଆର ହାତେ ।୮।
କାନ୍ଦୁଲ ଡାଲମା ସାଙ୍ଗକୁ ଭଜା ପୁଷ୍ପ ଶାକର
କମ୍ବୁକମ, ମୁରଙ୍ଗୀ ଭଜା ଯହିଁ ବଡ଼ ଆଦର ।୯।
କି ଧନୀ ଗରୀବ କି ଜାତି ଖରା ମାଡ଼ି ଆସିଲେ
ପଖାଳର ସ୍ଵାଦ ଅମୃତ, ସୁଖେ ମନ ଚହଲେ ।୧୦।
ନେତା, ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ଯନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ନେତ୍ରୀ ପାଳନ୍ତି ଏ ଦିବସ
ମୈତ୍ରୀ ଭାବ ପାଇଁ ପଖାଳ ହର୍ଷେ କରନ୍ତି ଗ୍ରାସ ।୧୧।
ଓଡ଼ିଶା, ଆସାମ, ପଶ୍ଚିମ ବଙ୍ଗ, ଛିଶଗଡ଼
ତାମିଲ୍ ନାଡୁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପାଳନ୍ତି ନେଇ ନୂତନ ମୋଡ଼ ।୧୨।
ବିଶ୍ଵ ପଖାଳର ଦିବସ ବିଶ୍ୱବାସୀ ହେ ଶୁଣ
ପଖାଳ ଖାଇବା ସୁଖରେ ହେଜ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୁଣ ।୧୩।
ଟୀକା - କାନ୍ଦୁଲ - ହରଡ / ପୁଷ୍ପ ଶାକ - ଫୁଲକୋବି
କମ୍ବୁକମ୍ - ବନ୍ଧାକୋବି / ମୁରଙ୍ଗୀ - ସଜନା ଛୁଇଁ ।

It is a wonderful poem on 'Pakala Divas'-'Pakhala' is 'Watered rice ' that is prepared after adding water to cooked rice.It is a popular Odia food and people of Odisha eat Pakhala with fried vegetables, fishes, 'mashed potato, ''Badi', 'Sagabhaja' 'Baigan bharta etc.

'Pakhala' is beneficial to health, particularly in hot climate it keeps the body cool.You have wonderfully delineated many Odia delicacies in this poem.Thank you for sharing.
