Bister Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bister

Bister

I am badly, in need of,
Sergey's prescription
A sauna, a Russian Sauna.

With crazy Russian heat as if oven
Then jumping in the cold water
Russian way, as if an eagle
Aiming for some big fish
Swimming against the
Current to lay eggs
But in refrigerator!

To let my bones crack
My skin expand and
Contract
As if the skin of a woman
Pregnant.

I need a sauna
A Russian!

With those heated stones
Turned open pomegranate
And the leaves bundled
As did the Soviet Soldiers
Marching in Red Square.

To share the heat and
The sweat's pleasure…
