Black Pen Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Black Pen

Black pen

English idiom:
-'A picture is worth a thousand words'

No more read much paper
-most readings are online
-sure it is the norm now

A picture of White House
-a woman, crazy her smile
-holds a pen; is black

She took it from him
-president
-right after he had signed
-the 'Executive'
-order on Cuba…'to reverse…'

And I look at devils in picture
-all are rich
-mosquitoes after sucking poor's blood
-some of them Cubans who fled Cuba
-when did the Batista, their brood
-and the ones born to them
-they are shame…

I know this very well
-did research and survey
-on Che's cause, Arguedas,
-CIA, Bolivia…

Then I learned also of
-Vietnam-
Port Ricans, Bolivians, Peruvians
-and others who were killed
-as Yankees, Gringos
-poor they were
-and poor is the stone and step
-they were bought; mercenaries became, fought
-in deep need lost their lives
-for evil act, actions
-the devil CIA, NSA, Pentagon
