Black Panther Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Black Panther

Black Panther

See the eyes all focused
-on Movie, screen.

And hardly
Randomly
Scarcely

People ask:
- "Why Black? "

Went for search in Lima
-books, papers, documents
-relations of races
-from the ugly time of murder
-of the past, to Incas…

Invasions!
Invasions!
Invasions!

Pizzaro and lootings
-and the rapes…
-brutalising their faith

"My parents, ancestors
-and myself…
-We hate the Africans
-who were maids and slaves
-far more than the Spain! "

Avoided discussion
-just listened…
-best logic was patience.

"These slaves were used as
-barking and hunting dogs
-used to beat, bite, fetch us…"

But…but…but…
-meant to say
-yet did not…

Had to go to the end
-where rivers pour in lakes
-in marshlands spread…

I can see and love it…

Anarchy! Anarchy! Anarchy!

See deprived
-of all kinds
-deserting lawlessly
-breaking chains and walls
-each with arms
-to retain the lost rights.

See Blacks and women…
-and the first settlers
- (as abused Indians)

Sun has come
-defrost snow, ice;
-run, flow streams,
-slowly and winding.

Each of them gets power.
-united yet very divided,
-Theory (Max- Engels)…

See the rush to flood
-can come and devastates
-the races and genders

Anarchy, Anarchy, Anarchy

Now recall poor farmer
-his load of bush and woods
-to sell them in city.

A master pays well, buys
-cheats, tricks and stops:
- "Will rebel if visits the city
-where sees the true me; a nothing! "
