This is an intensely felt poem, much more so than I expected with the title BLANKETS OF SILENCE. Silence in this context must be achieved through persistent effort. Usually I think of silence as something that is already present, which manifests itself when other things stop. that is, a person is speaking, she quits, silence is there immediately. I just read Tushar's comment - I agree with him! He grasped the meaning for us.

What a brief yet vivid and crispy description of the poet’s inner experience under the critical conditions of biting the dust, yet refusing to give up! This led our poet Rosann to taste a newer dimension of inner freedom, so thick that she can now blanket herself by its sweet silence. What a powerful poetic expression!
