Blessings Upon A Family Meal Poem by Terence George Craddock

Blessings Upon A Family Meal

Rating: 5.0

we should gather together with love
we should gather with appreciation
we should gather with thanksgiving
when we sit down to enjoy a family meal
when we break bread enjoy a family meal
when we enjoy the fruits of gathered harvest
when we receive the bounty laid upon our table
when we receive food prepared with love kindness

blessings upon the food upon the table
blessings upon family gathered for the meal
blessings upon friends gathered for the meal
blessings upon the cook health to your hands
blessings upon the air earth water light allowing life
blessings upon the light which lights our day our way

I put my hand on my heart trying to bring out a smile, but only tears came, sigh, my humble words to be a source of inspiration, to guide such a great poet towards a simple meal transforming it into a generous feast of love, open it towards connections with everything that is, yes towards the sense of oneness, showing the path of full happiness, thank you dear poet, my soul is most grateful to your hand for such a wonderful penning!
